Inspired by a French story "The Finest Story in the World" by Annie Saumont, I've created this work to show Armelle's chaotic lifestyle which is the main character of the story. In the story, Armelle wants to write the fines story in the world, but as a 3 kids' mom and a wife, she has no time to write, and only thing she writes about is the grocery lists. Borrowing Kipling's story which has the same title and giving the quote, "woman is an obstacle to writing", Saumont interprets it in her own way. Discouraging husband, children, parents, Aunt, friends are the real ‘obstacles’ to creativity, but the biggest obstacle is the woman as a gender.
Even though it is written several decades ago, this story still features most of women in our society.
